BRAND IDENTITY

BRIEF

Advancing Bitcoin is a conference put together to educate businesses and non-profits on how best to integrate Bitcoin and similar technologies into their business. The brand needed a very quick overhaul to communicate more authority, creativity and movement so that it felt more authoritative and inspirational on the visual front.

SOLUTION

I redesigned the entire identity starting from the logo, all the way to the collateral featured at the conference, as well as their new website landing page that will be used to secure investors for the company’s international expansion.

Process

1. CONCEPTING

This project began with a discovery workshop to get an understanding of the vision, strategy and direction of the brand and business.

The stakeholders wanted the identity to communicate a sense of community, interconnectedness and dynamic movement; while still feeling like a serious, corporate technology-focused entity.

I then created the concept deck where I explored and iterated on some core brand concepts, before arriving at two possible visual directions to present to their team.

2. DEVELOPMENT

Once I had the approval of the team on the mood boards and what elements they liked, I developed the logo and iterated towards what they collectively liked. I then created the branding around the logo and concept so that visually everything tied in together.

I enjoyed translating the idea of visualising the community as a swarm of energetic nodes/balls. I used this concept to visualise the different things (industry news, Bitcoin soft/hardware) that the business focuses on.
